“As a therapist, it’s important for me to bring a deep understanding of psychological science and clinical expertise to the conversation, but in many ways I see my client as the real “expert” in the room. You know yourself and your experience better than I ever will. I consider it an honor to bear witness to the incredible changes that can occur when we utilize this collaborative expertise to reach your therapeutic goals.”
Dr. Hessinger has trained and worked in a variety of settings including intensive treatment centers, college counseling, and the U.S. Veterans Healthcare Administration. He has extensive post-doctoral training and experience in evidence-based treatments for PTSD and is an active researcher who regularly presents at local, national, and international events and conferences.
